MEET THE CONTESTANTS

Contestant #1 – Addison Brewer

Is the daughter of Stephen and Kristy Brewer.  She is a member of SSHS Cheer, Student Council, Key Club, National Honors Society, and National Technical Honors Society.  She also received dance training for 13 years at Ardis Center of Performing Arts.  For the talent portion of the pageant, she will be performing a lyrical dance.  After high school she plans on attending Texas A&M University to pursue a career as a Pediatric Speech Pathologist.

CONTESTANT #2 – Bella Gilbreath

Is the daughter of Jason and Heather Gilbreath.  She is a member of the Texas Association of Future Educators and FCCLA.  She is also involved in musical theatre, including serving as a dance captain at Shining Star.  She attends First Baptist Church in Winnsboro and for the talent portion of the pageant she will be singing and tap dancing.  After high school she plans to attend UT Tyler for my bachelors in elementary education to become a teacher.  While in her first years of teaching she plans on earning her master’s degree in special education/elementary education and becoming an ABA therapist.

CONTESTANT #3 – Savanna Darrow

Is the daughter of Madison Darrow and Bradley Darrow.  She is a member of SSHS cheer, Key Club, Business Professionals of America, Student Council, National Honors Society, and National Technical Honors Society.  She also takes dance classes through Sulphur Springs Centre for Dance.  For the talent portion of the pageant, she will perform a jazz dance.  After high school she plans on attending Stephen F. Austin University to pursue a degree in education to one day become a teacher. 

CONTESTANT #4 – Piper Lilley

Is the daughter of Steven and Adrienne Lilley.  She is a member of the SSHS Cheer, National Honors Society, National Technical Honors Society, and Student Council.  She attends the Ardis Center of Performing Arts where she also helps teach dance.  She is a leader in her church youth group and sings with the band.  She also has volunteered at the Senter Center for 10 years helping with the Meal-A-Day program.  For the talent portion of the pageant, she will be singing.  After high school she plans on pursuing a major in Kinesiology and a minor in Child Development to become a pediatric physical therapist. 

CONTESTANT #5 – Jaleigh Johnson

Is the daughter of Melissa Johnson.  She is a member of the SSHS Blue Blazes Drill Team, Key Club, Student Council, HOSA, and UIL.  She is also dually enrolled in college courses.  She attends The Way Bible Church and volunteers with the Heart of Hope Foundation as well as assist with the Freedom Ball.  For the talent portion of the pageant, she will perform a theatrical dance routine.  After high school she plans on attending Texas Tech University to pursue her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing so she can become a labor and delivery nurse.

CONTESTANT #6 – Lindsey Hayes

Is the daughter of Gary and Crystal Hayes.  She is a member of UIL, National Honor Society, and Texas Association of Future Educators.  She attends First Baptist and enjoys photography.  For the talent portion of the pageant, she will be doing a vocal and skit performance.  After high school she plans to attend Oklahoma State University to pursue Pre-Law and Political Science with a minor in Agriculture.  After that, she plans on attending University of Oklahoma’s law school to practice Ag Law & Ag Advocacy.

CONTESTANT #7 – Sicily Potter

Is the daughter of Brian & Tina Potter.  She is a member of SSHS Student Council, Varsity Cheer, Key Club, HOSA, and Hearts of the Wildcats. She attends Central Baptist Church and is also a member of the Surge Dance Competition Team.  For the talent portion of the pageant, she will perform a contemporary dance.  She plans on continuing her education at college to pursue a career as a Pediatric Radiologist Technician.

CONTESTANT #8 – Alayna Moon

Is the daughter of Tessa Lappin and Bobby Lappin.  She is a member of SSHS Key Club, HOSA, National Honor Society and National Technical Honor Society.  She also danced on a competitive dance time and now is taking voice lessons.  For the talent portion of the pageant, she will be singing.  After high school she plans on enlisting in the United States Air Force and earning her bachelor’s degree in biomedical science.  After her service, she plans on attending vet school to become a wildlife veterinarian.

CONTESTANT #9 – Kenzi White

Is the daughter of Rodney White and Wendy White.  She is a member of the SSHS National Honors Society and National Technical Honors Society.  She also has been dancing for 4 years.  For the talent portion of the pageant, she will be performing a lyrical solo.  After high school she plans on attending Oklahoma State University to study interior design to get a bachelor’s degree which will prepare her to take the NCIDQ so she can become a residential interior designer. 

CONTESTANT #10 – Charli Roden

Is the daughter of Darren and Shara Roden.  She is a member of the SSHS varsity tennis team, marching band drumline and FCCLA.  She is also a member of the National Honor Society and National Technical Honor Society.  For the talent portion of the pageant, she will play the piano and sing.  She plans on attending college to pursue a degree in business administration. 

CONTESTANT #11 – Kiley Vaughan

Is the daughter of Logan and Whitney Vaughan.  She is a member of SSHS cheer and has taken dance lessons for 14 years.  She has been involved in several clubs during high school including Key Club, HOSA, STUCO, National Honor Society and National Technical Honors Society.  She attends The Way Bible Church and volunteers at Carriage House Nursing Home.  For the talent portion of the pageant, she will perform a contemporary dance solo.  After high school she plans on attend Stephen F. Austin University to pursue a degree in Public Health with a minor in Business Administration to one day become a Healthcare Project Manager. 

CONTESTANT #12 – Kaylie Resendiz

Is the daughter of Jaime and Myrna Resendiz.  She is a member of SSHS Cheer, bank, and Key Club.  She attends The Way Bible Church where she volunteers and has also volunteered with the Dinner Bell and Night to Shine.  For the talent portion of the pageant, she will be singing in both Spanish and English accompanied by her bass clarinet.  After high school she plans on attending Texas Tech University to pursue a degree in Law and Communications with a strong focus on family law.
